Quite possibly, yes. Remember, he oversaw the creation of the EPA, which Bush would no doubt love to dismantle. Both oversaw great expansion of the federal government, but at least Nixon didn't borrow obscene amounts of money to pay for it.

I think so. This man opened up trade with China and had a decent relationship with the enemies of the USA. He would probably be a moderate like McCain or Guliani which might be too liberal for the Rep. Party right now.

His bigger problem would be that he was kind of a working class kind of guy. He liked bowling, etc. On the other hand, he was big on the red scare using the almost non-existent threat of a take-over by the communists the same way that bush uses the almost non-existent threat of take-over by the terrorists to justify his abuses of power.

President Kennedy cut taxes across the board (like Bush did), advocated stronger control of our southern border with Mexico, and opposed abortion because it was against his Catholic upbringing. If he were around nowadays, the Democrats would lynch him...
