I am in a 2 year RN program and it is pretty rough. I love the challenge of the studying and application of skills in the healthcare setting. I want to do something good here while i spend time on this earth...be careful, all of your friends will want free advice most of the time. if you can muster up the dedication and be pushed to breaking point without losing your cool, this is for you! People need good people to take care of them. Don't ever go into nursing and think it will be a cake walk. Far from it. I didn't think it would be as hard as it is, but I am glad I am doing it. We have lost a lot of students in first year alone because of the demands of the program. I would suggest not working, if you can swing it, and say good bye to your friends for a while. You just won't have time. They say it is a calling....it truly is. Good luck in nursing school, I am sure you will do great.
