Add an "article" word in front of a present-tense verb. This makes it an introduction. Article words include:

( a )
( the )
( this )
( that )

EXAMPLES:

run (v)------ a run ( n )
swim (v) ------ the swim ( n )
walk (v) ------ this walk ( n )
hike (v) ------ that hike ( n )

There are gerunds (discussed above) where you add -ing and form a noun.

There are also verbal nouns - a noun which is derived from a verb, usually by adding an affix, and which exhibits all the ordinary properties of nouns and none of the properties of verbs.

arrive / arrival
decide / decision
fly / flight

it is possible to make a verbal noun by adding -ing but it is different from a gerund

for example:

(1) Deliberately bowling bouncers is unfair.

bowling here is a gerund, taking an adverb and having verbal properties

(2) The deliberate bowling of bouncers has to stop.

here it is a verbal noun, taking an adjective, determiners and prepositional phrase

I think you may be looking for gerunds, verbs that are used as nouns. Examples:
Running is good exercise. (Running is used as a noun)
My favorite sport is swimming. (Swimming is used as a noun)

Add "er" to the end of the verb unless it ends with e, then you just add "r".

You will be a changer then.
