Many people ask a question in all sincerity and get a variety of upsetting reactions telling them to go away or to do various harmful or unpleasant things to themselves or that they are undesirable in some way, shape or form.

The best way to avoid such reactions is to stick to a few simple principles:

Communication is the key

Do your own work where possible - search the internet before hand using google or wikipedia

1) post something straightforward - make it a question that we can all recognize and attempt to answer
2) preferably put it in the right section, under the right heading, and have your spelling and grammar correct - it makes it easier for people to understand you
3) avoid religious or political debate unless you really have to - you can get answers to these by searching the internet yourself or by talking it over with someone in your (or a) church or political party
