Well, yes...
Alaska and Hawaii are in the Pacific...
Coldest Alaska
As you would expect, the coldest temperature ever officially recorded in the United States was in Alaska.
It was -79.8 degrees Fahrenheit - rounded off to minus 80 degrees - observed at Prospect Creek Camp in the Endicott Mountains of northern Alaska on Jan. 23, 1971. The Prospect Creek Camp is along the Alaska pipeline about 20 miles north of the Arctic Circle.

No, Alaska is the coldest and Hawaii is the wettest (Mt. Wai'ale'ale on the Hawaiian island of Kauai is the wettest spot on the planet). Actually, the Pacific Northwest is quite temperate due to the jet stream & the warm ocean. The Northeast is much colder as is the Northern Plains.

Neither: Hawaii has the wettest spot, and there are a few spots in the coastal mountains of WA that get heaps of rain, but all-around, Florida is the wettest place in the U.S. Surprisingly, Seattle and Portland actually get less actual amount of rain than most of the Eastern U.S. They just don't get a lot of sun, either.
As for cold, nowhere in the U.S. is as fiercely cold, besides parts of Alaska, obviously, for extended periods as the norhtern plains--from MT to the Great Lakes. The Pacific Northwest rarely freezes. They DO have some of the coolest summer temperatures, though.

It rarely snows in the Pacific region, compared to the East coast. And you can argue that it's the wettest (Pacific Northwest) but I think it's pretty wet down in Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana area too.

The wettest spot is in Hawaii and I'm pretty sure the northeast gets colder.
