I accepted the consequences of my actions (speeding) like a mature adult.

I always admit the truth, but paying attention while driving also helps. I actually got let go for driving 85 MPH on the loop in The Phoenix Area because a Highway Patrol caused traffic to slow, I had to get around a group of sheep and signaled, did everything by the book, and then changed lanes and went right in front of the Highway Patrolman, he then pulled me over, of course :)
His first question was "why were you speeding"? I said because I had to use passing speed to get around your crowd, then he asked why I pulled right in front of him, I said, well, if you saw al of the other details, you know I signaled first, right? "Yes, yes you did", ok, then I changed lanes safely, correct? "Yes, you did". ok, so what did I do wrong?
Have a nice day!!!!!! :)
P.S.-I was NOT in a "big rig", I was in my 92 Chevy Pick Up :)

The one and only time that I have been pulled over is when I was 16. I had dropped a friend off at her house and got in the car and forgot to put my seat belt back on. A cop pulled me over I looked down and noticed that I didn't have my seat belt on. I pulled off on the side of the road. I was crying as soon as I pulled over. The cop let me go with a warning. No I was not pulling a " girl " thing. I just knew that my father was going to kill me.

I had to drive a friend to work during the Superbowl. On the way back home, I was caught (along with a handful of other cars) in a speed trap. The officer asked me why I was speeding, and so I told him that it was half time, and I wanted to make it back before the third quarter started. He let me go.
In my rearview mirror, I could see the confused and pissed off expressions of all the other drivers who must've been wondering what I said to get off. The truth will set you free, my brutha'. The truth will set you free.

I once rear ended a cop car when roaring DRUNK and talked my way out of it. When I couldn't even stand on one foot, I told the cop I was born with congenital hip deformities. When he asked if I had been drinking, I admitted having 2 or 3 beers at the beach (more like 12-15). I begged mercy and sais, "If you let me go, I'll be out of your jurisdiction in 5 minutes and you'll never ever see me again, I'm going straight home." He replied, "My jurisdiction is the entire state of California, do you think you can move that fast?" To my astonishment he let me go.

I was pulled over because a cop "heard" me speeding. (I have a racing header on my crotch rocket and it is loud) I told him that what he heard was not me speeding but that the bike had slipped into neutral between the gears and that I was only doing the speed limit...............It worked!!!

No liscense yet... but when I do get pulled over (and I will, haha) I'll just say "Get him! He's above the speed limit!! I was just trying to catch him!! Quick, he's already so far ahead that you can't see him!!!"
