It could really go either way, depending on the look you want. I really like AE because it's what you would want the-boy(or the girl)-next-door to wear because it's cute and in style. Abercrombie is more for the girl who wants to be sexy, or the boy who wants to seem hot. (Personally I think that AE is better because you get better clothing for your money. Abercrombie is a bit ragged and beaten up for the price.)

i don't really like either.. i just shop at american eagle for their jeans because it's one of the few places that have jeans that fit me well.
