Why do people find it necessary to snipe at others all the time?

That’s all they do where I work its really getting sickening! If I catch myself doing it I always think.... Do I really need to say this about this person. Makes me want to work in a cubical and never see another human at times!

it's a bit sad to hear about your problem. People do tend to need to have someone to pick upon - sadly. However , if you think it is proving to be a problem that may impinge on how your office is working , then I suggest that you keep a diary of these events , for a week or two and then go and see your boss. It is rare, but a very good idea, if a team in an office can meet around a table before each day's work, discuss what was on TV last night and then be briefed on the priorities for the next day, and of course celebrate what was achieved the previous day. This is a management issue - not just something that is making you unhappy. When sniping and backbiting are going on among the workforce, then they are not concentrating on what they are being paid for. That is a loss of productivity. When management get to grips with this problem then they will see an increase in productivity in their workforce. Why is n't there a team leader who makes everybody laugh? These cubicles are good for privacy but are bad for team spirit. A daily team meeting each morning, is I think a good idea to explore. It is rare but not unknown. You need to have evidence before you go to a higher echelon, otherwise you will end up with egg on your face. Get your evidence right and you get promotion.

theya rent happy they take out their life at work as no one at home will listen.. they vent to there as those people are more like family as they see them more. it is unprofessional and they all need to take an enima and get rid of the sh-t ....
