It's not 'Groundhog Day'! but it's just like that, cos the guy has to keep reliving the day to save this woman's life. And there's a motorbike I think.. and something about a flower stand?

I believe... it's a pre-2000 film. Maybe it's quite low budget and 80s or 90s or something. it's not the butterfly effect, I've never seen that. Nor is it 50 first dates. or the truman show. haha. but keep thinking! :-D

i have a vague recollection of the film, femme fatale, starring antonio banderas and directed by brian de palmer. it's not a guy reliving his day, but it starts with a scene where he is paparazzi stalking a celebrity (on his moped), and then every event afterwards leads up to that exact scenario again, but the characters are known to each other this time, and the whole scenario has a different outcome. bizarre. (but it had antonio banderas in it, so it was cool!)

hope you understood my naff synopsis!

alternatively, i did an imdb search for such films and came up with two possibles:
12:01(1990) and The Man With Rain In His Shoes (1998). I haven't seen either so i couldn't say, but thought maybe someone else could remember if they saw the titles.

The Butterfly Effect

You may be thinking of an episode of (possibly, I could be wrong) the newer Twilight Zone. It was called something along the lines of 12:01pm. It was about a guy who is the only man in the world who seemed to realise that the hour between 12:00 and 1:00 was repeating itself.
Now, I also vaguely recall that the story was adapted to become a tv movie so that may be what you saw. It's a very disconcerting tale with no happy ending as I saw it. He tries to kill himself but just returns to 12:01pm anyway and will be trapped in that hour for eternity.

Groundhog Day with Bill Murray

I recall a short film that had one guy re-living the same day over and over..... it was only about 15 mins long... and one of the images that stayed with me was of him folding up his tie before eating lunch in the park.... he even got a security guard to shoot him in the face in order to end it all - only to restart at the same point.... MUCH darker than 'Groundhog Day' - and predates it by a couple of years too. He tracks it all down to some experiment being run by a scientific corporation...

But it's title eludes me.

Butterfly Effect was a little similar, but was more about one man going back and changing the past, as I recall it.
