The news says that the possible killer of JonBenet has been found. This person knows things about the crime that no one else does. From day 1 I never thought the parents or son had anything to do with it. I went back looking at previous questions and answers and was so sad to see how many people blamed the family.
What kind of world do we live in where people are so ready to think the worst and condemn? It reminds me of the Salem witch trials. For how much people seem to claim to be such religious "good" people, I see little evidence of the understanding and compassion that comes with being a good person. Have people evolved at all? well I suppose we did not burn the Ramseys at the stake, but is there anyone out there who feels for these poor parents? I have lost a child and that was hard enough, I can not begin to imagine their suffering at how their child was brutalized combined with what we added to their sorrow. Will people ever learn?

The "that the way the world is attitude" is what keeps us from becoming better.

Some people thrive on drama and they will never learn. I feel sorrow for anyone who loses a child and this was such a heinous, senseless thing to do to a little girl. Patsy has died and her husband still has to deal with the suspicion of many ignorant people. I hope the man who was arrested today will be the answer to this case and that what's left of JonBenet's family will find peace in their lives.

I hope Jon Benet's killer has been found, time (and evidence) will tell. I would be happy to know it was not anyone living in the house with Jon Benet, but will admit I was not convinced it was not one of them. I am a very compassionate person, but had not made up my mind either way on this crime. Crimes are committed by people in the home all the time. I do know the crime scene was not preserved and the evidence was badly contaminated, fault of the local law enforcement.

It's easy to forget that these are real people, not characters in a television drama. Everyone loves a good mystery, and it could have turned out that the parents were guilty, but that's why we have a system of investigation and due process. The ones I really resent are the television "personalities" like Geraldo Rivera who were so adamant that the parents were guilty and all but demanded that the parents be dragged in chains through the streets. It was disgusting to see him milk the story for his own personal gain.

I doubt Geraldo will have the gonads to apologize publicly to John Ramsey, but he should. His treatment was nothing short of vicious.

I must admit I suspected the mother. The whole "Little Beauty Queen" thing freaked me out. I now equate it with the Olympic Park bombing. That man was suspected until the real bomber was caught. Good news, the original suspect is now a police officer.

Even if the parents aren't responsible for killing her, I've always thought there was something shady about them... something shady enough to focus so much attention on them. Plus, I have always felt they are indirectly responsible for her death. When you parade your 6 year old daughter around and have her made up looking like a 30-something whore, you have to realize the kind of attention you are drawing to her. But I can tell you that you aren't alone in your feelings. My best friend has always felt sorry for the parents and never thought they had anything to do with it.

I'm with you. It's very sad. Tragic.

The mother, may she rest in peace, is in a better place. But the father still has to go through this ALONE! I hope they resolve this finally.

It's a very sad story.

Yes, it was rather disgusting how people jumped on the Ramseys as though they were already convicted or something. Maybe it'll teach them a lesson? (not holding breath)

Hey, it's a "me first" kinda world we live in. It's been that way for a long time. Why do you think they give bigger trophies to the first place team than they do to the runners up? Everybody's got some sorta point to prove. Never gonna change, will only get worse.

Well , I am one that posted a question like that, that's one thing about good ole America, the freedom of speech. I suppose you think O.J is innocent to? Sorry for your loss, yes I do have a heart.

because the saddest truth is that most parents ARE guilty in their own child's death........if you haven't realized that in this world we are "Guilty until proven innocent".....it's the way of the world--sad as it may seem--get used to it!
