Why do men shave or wax their chest?

I was once attacked and had my back hair shaved off, but no one is touching my chest hair with anything resembling wax or a razor. Why the heck would I wanna look like a boy?

Some probably just don't like hair on their chest, and some might be athletes that need to shave so they can bike, run, or swim faster.

Some athletes (like cyclists) have to shave/was so they can wear extra tight clothing for competition and hair on the chest could make them sweaty and make it harder for the clothes (that are already hard to put on) to get off.

Not sure if you can equate shaving with being female. There are many females in this world who have never touched a razor.
But maybe you are correct.....or they are body builders or athletes. Many possibilities here.
Personally, I like hair on a man's chest. and everywhere else. Only place I can't tolerate it is on the back. :)

I guess because some women dont like guys with a hairy chest. But it depends on the guy. But too much hair, looks a little too cave man for me.

Men who reject their secondary sexual characteristics (hair) are trying to be asexual by looking like a young boy rather than a mature man. Hair is sexy!! If a man doesn't want to look like a man, getting rid of chest hair is a logical start.

No, It's because they don't want hair on thier chest. Why do most women shave thier legs? They don't like the hair. Duh
