Absolutely!!! Especially if he is having financial problems, how can you honestly expect him to buy you a ring that expensive?

All I can say Is I am Sorry for you for thinking that your ring has to be the size of China to get married and add more bill's before you are married. Why don't you get a smaller ring and leave the next ring up to him to get you when you are married for a few more Years After all the bills are paid up at least a bit. Then let him surprise you with a big ring. Wouldn't that be much Nicer? The Size of the Ring doesn't show how much you are Loved you Know.

I don't think the bills ar the reason there's no proposal!!!!

there no reason to buy the cow if the milk is free!!!

a proposal doesn't have to have a ring---it's a question---from the heart and it means a lifelong commitment!!!

my husband had lots of bills when we were engaged---it didn't stop him from proposing---and he did get me a ring afterward----that he managed to afford!!!!

If he can manage to put himself in debt for other things----why hasn't he bought u a ring----actually y hasn't there been a proposal after....8 YEARS!!!!

move on!!!

Yes, you are being pickey. Why do you need a ring that big? If the problem is a money issue, try going smaller.

Oh please can you be any more materialistic!?
I was with my b/f for nearly 5yrs before he proposed, he picked out a beautiful but quite petite diamond for me. I was thrilled cuz he had been having some financial problems at the time, besides it was him I wanted to be committed to for the rest of my life, not a silly stone! It wasn't hardly a speck but beautiful all the same cuz it came from his heart. Then 2 weeks before the wedding he surprised me with news of closing his 4th house deal then proposed again with a gigantic 3+ct diamond!!!!!

Guess good things come to those who wait huh!?

IF you know he is trying to handle his past and current bills, why are you demanding an expensive ring? He will never get out of debt if you have your way.

Just a little picky. It shouldn't be the size of the ring that matters, but the size of the commitment.

No because thats all you are ever going to get out of this relationship. Your money would be better spent on buying a clue!
