It is not normal to have blood in the stool at all, but if it only happened once there's nothing to worry about. If it happened twice or more, call a doctor. A little blood can't hurt. Many people have a little blood in it every once in a while and they are fine.

It could be that her stool was too hard. This happened to my son and when I went to the doctor they asked for a stool sample. If there isn't blood IN the stool you should be okay but still call your clinic or hospital and ask to speak to a nurse or doctor in pediatrics.

my son had that once if the blood is dark dark red it comes for deep inside if its light reddy red it might be a little tear from oh a little sharp something in her pooh i'd just relax for a sec and see what happens next changing a streak isnt a panic but watch it close. if its really dark and persists i'd call the doc but thats just my opinion and im not a nurse or doc just a mom. use you best judgment.

Of course talk to your Dr. about this. My little one had blood with mucus in his stool a few times a week and it turned out to be colitis. We landed up changing his formula and it cleared right up.
I bet though it is just a minor tear in his rectum area from pushing to hard. They sure can do that sometimes.

It may have to do with what you fed her, not color wise but she may be in need of a stool softener, try giving her more apple juice and less dairy. But you should always consult your doctor if you think something is out of the ordinary, whether its normal or not. It may be something he needs to know about even if it is normal.

Yes i would call ,but they will tell u to moniter her stools for any other signs of blood. It could be she picked up somthing tiny and ingested it without you knowing , its a quite common occurance of little ones this age and as others said she could be constipated.

Probably nothing to worry about...however,.,,if you think you should,,,call the doctor. Probably the stool irritated the area or a slight tear..or fisula. Especially if the stool was very firm.

in case you project, i'd call his well being care provider. there's a topic even as this happens to them and it would want to be something severe. I save in options studying about it someplace, even as i grow to be preggo doing a lot analyze. If it occurs each now and then, i doesn't be too in touch. there are cases i regulate my sons diaper and it form of feels it is going in too.. yet no matter if it truly is continually like that, i'd communicate over at the same time with his well being care provider about it. good luck mommy..
