thats the point. America is so busy sticking its damn nose in other countries business they cant stop to think about whats going on in their very own backyards. Too bad, maybe we need to get rid of a certain anti-christ,redneck murderer and put someone with brains a heart and b*lls in power!!
About the poor countries being able to get people to the Olympics... you dont need to buy talent in poor countries, they're made!!

I know that most people in america are kind and generous, however the american government is as corrupt as the next. Although many people give to charity and pay taxes that go towards many relief funds, the truth of the matter is that america has ravaged other countries for resources. In fact america is the worlds biggest debtor - money is printed on the back of oil revenue from the middle east. If these countries switched selling oil in dollars to the euro, america would crash and burn. Saddam Hussein was disposed because he did switch to euros in 2002.

We are a country of givers, but don't be fooled by the numbers. and who truly is getting aided, because when you see a figure for food aid deduct forth for storage mill, forth for transportation, and three fourths for NGO administering distribution. You say my math is incorrect, will striving Person may get sack of rice, beans or enough flour for a loaf of bread. As for second part of your question- Do you think George Steinbrener is on Olimpic Committee strictly out of altruism. The figures above may explain why some fight any attempt to teach birth control.

as to that american wer....
Its true there are cycles in the earths climate that every 10 thousand+ years or so we undergo drastic climate change, but america does nothing to prevent it happening, and if anything helps it along far to soon and in a completely unpradictable way. As far as I can see america doesnt give a **** about the enviroment or the future state of the world as a whole in its current policys. All america cares about is money.
Im sorry for the majority of americans who have to live by this political injustice and who having had the chance to have made there vote fairly they would now know a president Al Gore

widespread delusion that america gives
[who fed you that untruth?]
america [and the rest of the first world] LENDS - and gets back much more than they lend
the net flow is to the first world - the third world is giving to the first world - the rich get richer and the poor get poorer
the rich have a bigger stick to force 'donations'
the third world gives $200 billion a year more than it gets [see united nations statistics]
moreover, 80% of the loan money is spent in the first world - ie, it is a prop to first world industries
further, the money is often illspent, on wasteful projects - eg, 10,000 dams that silted up before they were even finished
what does the first world care, as long as it gets paid
read lords of poverty, graham hancock, if you care about truth [on which happiness is totally dependent]

There is no country which can be called as a total giver or total taker. The affluent western countries colonised major portion of the world, plundered them and made poor. They are giving what they have taken illegally.

some troublemaking countries are'nt so poor.
and yes, we are too giving and too considerate and too tolerant and too trusting. but, so is the US, niave they are to think that they could have done something earlier to prevent terrorism, it would have happened no matter who their president was, it's been brewing for many years.
