Are these real? Will people think bad if I just wear them to wear them? Does just about everybody know the meanings?

Actually, people won't think badly of you if you wear them, after all they can be somewhat fashionable.
Although, people WILL think badly of you if you participate in the game of jelly bracelets. I wore them, but only because I thought they looked nice, they harden little by little when you wash your hands (including your bracelets) or keep wearing them when you bathe or shower. Give it a few months before they're almost impossible to snap.
If you like it, wear it, just don't let any guy snap them because many boys will assume you play the game and will try to get in bed with you. Thanks to mine hardening though, when some stupid perverted friends tried to snap them, they couldn't. =).

I grew up in the 80's and wore Jelly bracelets...I can't beleive that people would actually take them as Sex bracelets seriously -- it's a joke. Teens have hormones and this is a way they express them -- just becuase they use the term does not mean all are literally taking it to that sense. And if they are -- they probably would find some other way to do it as well.
It's a fashion....not a statement.

I grew up in the 80's we didnt wear jelly bracelets..we wore jelly sandals! And if I were young now, i wouldnt wear the bracelets because even if it's not true, there's a negative connotation regarding them.

Most people do know what they mean and will think that if you wear them the meanings apply to you. I would stay away from them and just wear other bracelets.

Don't wear them. People know what they are and you're going to seem really trashy and cheap if you wear them. Honestly, there are so many other pretty bracelets I'm sure you can find one that would look better than those.

a lot of people know what they're about and judgemental people may think bad of you but if you like them then go for it. i wear red and black ones on the everyday basis because they're more my style than any other kind of bracelets. a lot of people now are over it and don't think too much about somebody wearing them so i don't think it's a big deal. depends on how much you care about what others think of you.

Yes, I'm afraid so. But you know... It's only for teens I think. If an adult wears them... I'll just assume that it's for the EXPRESS train back to the 80s!

Well, I don't really know what those are, but if you feel comfortable wearing them, you shouldn't listen to what anybody says...ppl tend to be judgmental of others, but that shouldn't keep you from wearing something that you like :)

Yes. Children use them to let others know what type of "sex" they will do, for example, kiss, go to first base, go all the way, oral, etc.
