Google Answers is a service where professional google researchers find answers for you.

The Researchers have been screened and tested by Google to show they have the skills to research and find answers for users. The Researchers are not experts in the fields they are researching but just extremely talented "searchers".

The service is valuable to people who are not skilled at finding answers with a search engine, or who do not have the time to adequately search for answers.

So, nothing comparable to to Yahoo Answers, but a valuable service, for those needing it.

thats the part of the habbit of google to put them self in each and every new concept ... but what ever they are doing right now is paid means google answers is a paid service so forget that and enjoy the yahoo answers

But their model is different in that you pay to ask a question and only those who have been screened (you have to submit a resume) can answer questions. Unlike YA which is a free-for-all forum. Less participants, but better quality Q&A
