Does their open-mindedness allow them to covet a communist system? It seems like liberals want to do away with the electoral college and denigrate traditional marriage and the family unit. Why do liberals hate alot of things that made America what it is like captalism?

indeed, if liberals had their way, humanity would eventually die off, they believe that gays are born that way and that the theory of evolution is somehow real, so how the hell did we make it this far, if gay pond scum couldnt reproduce this would still be a barren planet.

If the liberals had any respect for the Constitution as they claim, they wouldn't just pick and choose.
First, they'd have to admit that the Founding Fathers were brilliant. They won't. They hate them.
Second, they'd have to respect all of the Constitution. This means acknowledging that the right to life is the first right granted, before and above all others.
Third, they'd have to actually "allow" those of us who wish to publicly pay respect to our Creator (Who endowed us with certain unalienable rights), in whatever manner we choose without their interference. And they'd have to admit that by "permitting" us to do so does NOT constitute "shoving religion down their throats." Even most non-religious Americans think that God shouldn't be eradicated from our American traditions.

Someone once said that America was founded on 3 things: God, guns and guts. I would have to say that I agree. You'd be hard pressed to find a liberal that would, though. (I can already hear the libs squealin' like pigs over the "gun" word.)

The electoral college is an atiquated system and should be gotten rid of. Traditional marriage has been denigrated for a long time now, anything that fails 50 percent of the time has lost its traditional standing. what fantasy world are you living in. Who says we hate capitalism we just don't swallow the idea that it should be everyone for themselves. You see we believe the people from enron should be punished under your belivies they would get off scott free.

No. The liberal view of the Constitution is of a "living document." In other words, the words as written mean nothing in themselves. They believe it should change; but only by judicial order. Liberals get very bothered when anyone calls for a constitutional amendment- the only LEGAL way to change the Constitution. Why? Because that's the Founder's democratic way of change- with the acceptance of the governed, and NOT by some appointed for life unaccountable jurist.

Your definition of tradition means "living in the past". Some traditions are great, like our constitution (which conservatives are trying to change) and the respect we enjoyed because we acted as true heroes during ww2 and the fact that we could be looked to as a global moral authority. Unfortunately, we have lost that position in the world, and we are no longer living in the 40s and 50s. Some traditions keep people's minds stuck in antiquated thought patterns. Times change, life must evolve. Conservatives (and Liberals or Independents alike) who can't get a handle on that need only to record their viewpoint in a journal and look at it again on their deathbed...I'll bet dollars to donuts some of their views have changed over the decades. Look at the repeal of segregation, women's lib, and civil rights movements as specific recent examples of when traditions needed change. Is it just me, or were conservatives against all of these changes?

You seem to have either some sort of psychological problem, or a lack of capacity to comprhend the world as it really is. I am sure that you are probably a racist as well. You apparently listen to far to much right wing radio...Have you considered turning off all the filthy yellow trash radio television that you indulge in? . It is the fact...the FACT...that they DO respect the constitution that makes them what they are.Have you ever even read the constitution?...I doubt that seriously.
lTry doing something like travelling to another country .And try to learn the "real' menaing of the word "education'...Look at your friends and aquaintences pal...they are surely all a bunch of lacklusters, and I bet you haven't been well laid in while either, have you ?... Humble yourself my friend, many of those so called liberals you comp;ain about are getting sick and tired of making excuses for your existence.

So are you saying that amendments should not have been made to the constitution? You know, like women being able to vote?
The "tradition" you speak of, from the era of our constitution's development.....do you mean like the tradition of owning black people as slaves?
One other interesting thing I'd like to point out........
I'm assuming that since you are against changing/amending the constitution, that you whole-heartedly disagree with King George on putting a new clause in against boys kissing.

Their open-mindedness does not allow them to covet the communist system. . .that's a failed system--and totally not progressive. Don't think that because people may have liberal political beliefs that they want to destroy the family unit. They can see merit in different ways and are not fearful that those ways will destroy systems that are in place (i.e. marriage, family unit etc.) Could be that some of the policy changes that they propose would actually strengthen marriage & family units--and therefore the community.)

1. Why are you not in Iraq fighting?

2. You ask for a source on my Faith-Based In. question = Frontline. Not that you really want to check it out because we all know that repubilcans don't really want truth. You just like to play games with American lives by making politics all about competition rather than about the American ppl.

Show me an instance of "the family unit" in the Constitution and I'll show you a flying tree.
