It all depends on what he lied about. If it was a little white lie that changed nothing, then, by all means, get married....we all do that. However, if he lied about something major, such as his past, his job status, or something that will definately alter your lives, then you might want to reconsider. People who tend to lie about those things usually have a pattern of lying about alot of things.

Based on the question alone, I'm assuming that it wasn't one of those little white lies. I highly doubt you'd be on here complaining that he said he took out the garbage when he clearly hadn't. Whatever he lied about has you questioning the wedding, and if it's come to that, then you are probably asking yourself what else has he lied about. If that's the case honey, go with your gut, it's usually right. Some people can't help themselves and will lie about the darndest things with no rhyme or reason. If you don't mind a marriage filled with doubts regarding his honesty, then get married. But if you think you deserve better, then call it off. If it were me, I'd base the decision on the scale of the lie. Say he lied to spare your feelings, or he lied because he was afraid of how you'd react...those type of lies come with explanation...those kind of lies one can work through. It's the blatent, have no reason for, couldn't face the truth lies that I'd have a problem with. It's sort of a picture window to your future. Who wants to base their entire marriage on lies? You'll do what is right for you, and if you don't want to call it off, postpone it until you see what else he hasn't been truthful about. Good luck.

I wouldn't. Several will say depends on the lie, but if he lied to you once about anything he'll most likely keep right on lying.
