I have a separate reptile room so it isn't a problem for me.

Do you like camping? Just pretend you are sleeping under the stars!

If you keep fewer at a time it shouldn't be a problem. Most of the crickets from pet shops aren't old enough to chirp, but if you get too many of the large ones they may escape death long enough to start chirping. Or you could try catching them and plucking the wings off

Clip their wings. It doesn't take much usually. I spend around 10 minutes doing it when ever I get 2 dozen crickets (not every cricket wil lhave wings). I'v also heard that keeping them cool works, but I have no means of doing that, so the old fashioned way works pretty good.

get medium sized or 3 week old crickets and they wont chirp... they usually start chirping at about 4 to 5 weeks...

yes simple keep them cool. cricket chirp rate is triggered by temperature
just don't cool them to much
