I am a Liverpool and England fan, and although it's debatable whether or not he's truly a world class striker, I do like Peter Crouch, but one thing I've noticed about him... is he the only player in the world whose head actually gets LOWER when he jumps for a ball?

My point is, MOST people jump to GAIN height, not to lose it!

if you noticed this about him and you are asking whether anyone else does the same thing, then i think that the answer isn't that important to you, but that you are obsessed with this guy and are looking for a fault so that you can convince yourself that he is not perfect and that you are not gay ;) i voted you best answer btw

I am Reds fan too. i admit that he is not a world class striker yet but I believe this season you will get to see an improve Crouch cos he will be pressure to perform better and with his height it give the manager additional option upfront. With the new striker coming in he must perform else he will have to warm the bench. Maybe he will be a super sub.
As for the jump and lower his head it for better accuracy and power. He's tall but his no a good header.

Peter Crouch should be an fierce weapon in the air because of his height, but hes only mediocre. With that air mediocrity, he doesn't make up for it with his individual skill, and all he can do is lay off the ball well. I have no idea why he was chosen over Defoe. Who can dribble miles around Crouch any day of the month.

Yeah, and he had to pull the hair of a trinidadian defender to score a header. With his height, he shouldn't even have to reach for the player's shirt.

I think he's way too skinny. He usually only scores when he gets a good play made for him, and he just finishes,. I think he's okay. And LMFAO he just has to put his head down because if he didn't, his super height would give him the equivalent of a field goal. Actually, most strikers snap their head down anyways, to redirect the ball.

Seems to be working well for him. That's two headed goals in the last two games (Community Shield versus chelski and the England game versus Greece).

I think he'll score more than 15 this season, and many will be with his head.

He's scored them in the past, and most people don't like him because of his height - nothing more than that.

my point is.
he plays dirty and he's always pulling on people. that's natural. But as a Trinidadian I hate him because I saw him in the world cup score a goal just because he tried to pull a defenders dreadlocks out.

So I really dont give a crap about Peter Crouch.
He may be tall but he has no problem reaching down and pulling on other players.

I think his good start in the community shield is promising, and he should begin to settle in more his second year at Anfield. I think with Bellamy too here have a much more viable partnership than Cisse or Morientes could have provided. I think that could be one of the best partnerships.

he is way too skinny! lol. but anyway, i guess that if he didn't lower his head, he'd have to jump at like midfield to head the ball lol j/k
