The lyrics are beautiful but I have trouble putting a meaning to them than make sense.

to me it's about how the way you see things changes as you gain more experiences how you figure out that you don’t know all the answers the way you thought you did:
•clouds look like all kinds of fantastic things when you are happy but then something happens and you lose a little idealism and then they are just clouds and they are a nusiance that block the sun and bring rain.
•love is great while you are in it but when it ends it leaves hurt and you put up walls so that you don't fall again
•you change and the people who know you best see it and they miss the old, happy, daydreaming, you. the one who laughed a lot and thought you knew all the answers.
•knowing that you’ve changed but still trying to hold on to your former self who was optimistic and saw beauty in everything and trying not to become cynical

The song was actually written by Joni Mitchell. I think the lyrics are open to various interpretations.

both sides like loving and not being loved. some one breaking your heart or you breaking theirs. you know, bliss and agony.
