it hurts and when you do get it pierced it makes a POP-ing sound and it sounds a lot louder becuase it is right in your ear. i did mine on my own with some friends when i was 14 or 15. not a good idea...do it professionally. also, the peircing part is not the only painful part. my didnt heal for about a year after. it was always getting caught in my hair and laying on that side to sleep was uncomfortable. 5 years later it is doing great. i still have it but i know a lot of people taht had to take it out becuase it hurt too much, got infected or whatever. i have had lots of other peircing too and that's probably one of the more painful ones i remember. of course it was probably cuz i did it. my nose didnt hurt that much tho and it is cartilage too. so be forewarned!! get it if you really want it. but also remember piercing is addicting.

Well... when you get your cartilage pierced... it will hurt for about 5 hours. Cartilage has material that is in your bone, mixed with thinner material. Piercing your cartilage compaired to your ear would be very different, and slightly more painful. The next day, if it still hurts, I would reccomend using a numbing solution on the piercing.

Hope this helps you!

Love Always,
Tiffany

I actually have 4 holes in each and each ear, nostril and my tongue. I actually ought to assert, getting the cartilage pierced did not harm too undesirable, inspite of the undeniable fact that it did harm a ittle. I went to Claires to get it executed and honesty i doesn't recomend getting it executed there, or with a piercing gun. I had to eventuay take it out because the hollow by no skill heals and my ear stayed swollen, the same ingredient happen to three associates of mine. inspite of the undeniable fact that in case you bypass to a professional position, they frequently use only a needle to pierce it, inspite of the undeniable fact that it is going to harm more effective.

No, doesn't hurt any worse that any other part, but can get more infected, and is sore when laying on till healed.

It didn't bother me at all. My friends were gawking around when I got it done, waiting to see if I would cry or make a face or something, and they were very disappointed.
