Wow, supporting the facists now?? Great, people great! So we didn't want something to happen, yet we all sat back and allowed it to happen (immigration), and none of us did anything to help make our society more integrative instead of conveniently ghettoised, none of us endorsed the institutional racism that targetted young ethic minorities and none of us are now responsible for the sh.it that we have passed through the morals of our bowels and have to live in??

The problem isn't multiculturalism, its monotheism, plain and simple. People of all races and creed can live harmoniously together but when monotheistic cultures clash, we get terrorism, we always have and we always will, if we insist of forcing our faith or even nationality onto our citizens with ethnic heritage, we are likely to suffer a backlash, its still colonialism, even if its on our doorstep people. If people were being allowed to fulfil their basic human right to self determination...the reality is no-one would need to leave their country in the first place, but please all of you Enoch Powell groupies (and for god sake, read about the man before you sing his praises) try and find one immigrant in this country that hasn't fled a country that somehow hasn't been interfered with by our very own government and then try and tell me that these people who have been driven from their homes don't deserve to rest in the nation that masterminded, funded and fuelled that situation.

Get real, stop looking for someone to come up with a quick and easy solution, the problem is ours now not Enoch powell's, and holding his view up as some kind of shining example of intelligence in this issue in 2006 is less than responsible and not particularly smart, i'm sorry but i see what you're trying to say i just think you could probably do better yourself and i'd rather hear what YOU have to think, not mindless sheepherding around a well known racist politician from the days of black and white!!

Yes. Me and my husband were discussing Enoch Powell today and how it is such a shame that his words weren't heeded more back then. He certainly had foresight. After decades of various governments being soft touches, we are now starting to very much pay for these blunders, our country has turned into a complete joke.

It seems so if people of different races and religions can't learn to live side by side, in my mind any group that seperates those who belong to it from those that don't is by its nature going to provoke antagonism from those that dont wish to belong to them.
Any groups that forms, even though perhaps slightly different from each other will either unite into a bigger group or fight or each other.
For all the knowledge we have in this modern age, the vast majority of us still act like waring apes.

if that is the case in the street, well yes but to take it as what it suppose to mean, i would say no. i don't think majority in this country would take it that way. there would certainly be a different approach to it by looking at what's happenning so far.

He wasn't right then and he is not now. Tolerance can be a marvellous thing which sadly is something the intolerant will never understand.
