I think the right age is when you are prepared to face the consecuences of such a profound and meanningful act, such asthe possibilities of pregnancy, STDs. and such. And what I mean is that for instance when you are 13 or 16 you are biologically ready to have intercourse but by the same token you are not ready to deal with the life of a little person who is tottally dependng on you. Just someting to think about. good luck

Each person is different..... when you are ready to handle the outcome..... just because you sleep with someone does not mean they will be there forever or even marry you! Most people will say when you are married! I am being realistic..... you should have sex when you are ready to deal with the outcome....... on your first time you could get pregnant, get an STI, or be left alone and have a guy bragging about you!

The law says 18 years old. I think it makes sense, since you officialy become an adult and can vote.
Even though the body is ready before that, I think the emotional part of it does not fully devellop till the early 20ies. Amd some people never mature enough at all.
So waiting till you're legal makes sense.

i made the mistake of having sex at age 14 WAY to young... no one can really tell you what age you should have sex but make sure you love that person... i think that waiting till your married is a good idea but come on in our world today thats very unlikely. good luck and dont forget to use protection when you finally make that BIG decision

Each person is different. They have to be old enough to truly understand the mechanics, the precautions and the ramifications (not just what their friends tell them, but the actual truths). They also need to be emotionally stable enough to deal with their current environment. And they have to have the desire to have sex.
I know 25-year olds that do not meet these requirements.
That all being stated, I can imagine that most 18-19-year olds should be able to handle it. I cannot imagine many 15-olds being able to handle it.

age really dont matter. i think its appropriat to have sex once the person is merried or commited to another person and will be able to take full responsibility in a child even if a child isnt wanted

I think it would be great if everyone waited until they were 18. I didn't but I kind of wish I would have; I'd have made a smarter choice about who to give it up to.
