threerivers...just got to ur comment...
i'm 42, and that's not so much what bothers me. he knew my age from the beginning. however, what bothers me, is that i cannot have children with him...he said he also knew this, and it isn't a problem, and he made the choice because he loves me. but, thank you for your honesty! you are honest without being cruel, and i like that.
thank you all, also...

Age and love are a state of mind. Don't be worried about pleasing the rest of world as it is not going to happen. If he is younger then he is carrying less baggage; and more importantly; he is still trainable.

Well it's not the norm. Life wise it makes sense. Dangerous for the woman. Men admire youth. Even when a couple are the same age. Even though men don't live as long, they seem to age better. His eyes will roam even sooner.
I was married 4 times. My first wife was 1 year younger than I. My 2nd wife was 6 years younger than I my third wife was 12 years young and my present wife is 13 years younger.
There was some poll 20 years ago that said In only 4% of marriages are the women older.
The fact that you didn't give your age means it bothers you. You can get him, but can you keep him?

I had two older girlfriends (five and six years older) and thought it was very cool. This sort of arrangement just makes sense, since women on average live longer. If she marries a younger man, neither a 75 year old woman and her 70 year old husband, for example, will have many years of lonely widow/widowerhood.

I think it is great! If the man is 29 I am assuming the woman is in her late 30's early40's? I would do it. It would keep me feeling young and alive. And who cares when it comes to love, as long as your not breaking any laws that is!

I know of several marriages involving a female that is older than her man. (from 2 years older to 8 years older) The marriages are strong. It really depends on the maturity level of those involved.

I'm 30, my husband is 26. we love each other very deeply...why? do YOU have a problem with that?
He chased me, I didn't want to give him a chance because of his age, but he convinced me otherwise. we are happily married after being together for 4 and a half years and we are expecting our first child in December.

My husband is 4 1/2 years younger. I've had to be patient as he had/ has some growing up to do, but I love him lots.

I think age isn't enough information for us to judge, generallyt here are a lot of behaviors that make this sort of thing a bad idea. Men who are poorly established in life who often don't reach their potential married to an older woman or a woman who dates a pattern of younger men becuase she cannot relinquish control in her relationships. There are a lot of things that could make a situation like this bad but Age itself isn't one of them.

If you two are happy together what is stopping you, age is only a number as long as you are both of legal age of course
