I watched Tupac:Resurrection again last night and it just dawned on me that he was an outright lyrical genius and just an awesome rapper and actor. I miss him, i love him and i wish he were still here today to see how far we've progressed thanks to his music and his dedication to the hood and black ppl. he was a true hero. i put him right up there with Malcom X and Stanley Tookie Williams. Love him or hate him there is no denying that he was brilliant. He came from nothing and became a worldwide sensation. He made some mistakes and also did some great things- he was so real and so human- what every person should strive to be- REAL. He was just plain GREAT. i just thot i'd say that and see who feels the same way. i'd like to hear any opinions on him- whether u agree with me or disagree (why u would is just crazy), b/c even after death he is still such a controversial character. anyways- thanks and all opinions are welcome!!

I totally agree with you. I saw Tupac Ressurection on VH1 recently too. However, I think he'd be ashamed of what hip-hop has turned into today. No one really raps about where they come from and what they see is wrong in our society today. There's still a good amount of lyricists out there but they're underground. Mainstream hip-hop has turned into trash and rappers have given into the money and fame. Tupac was a true artist. I miss the days in the 80s and early 90s when hip-hop was real. I miss listening to artists like Tupac. R.I.P.

I absolutely agree, I'm obsessed with Tupac. I have ALL his albums. I'm listnin to Me Against The World right now. He definately knew how to relate to people in general no matter what their situation. He also knew how to give people hope. A lot of people strive for hope these days...

Nope, he is not the best in my opinion just the most popular. The best would be the RZA or GZA from the Wu Tang Clan. Or maybe Guru from the Disposable Heroes of Hyphoprosy and Spearchucker. I also like Ihsan the Unholy.
