If you are running a laptop then a USB hub is your only option to add more USB ports.

If you are running a desktop then there are 2 ways to get more USB ports, 1 is to buy a PCI USB Expander card, it takes up 1 PCI slot and it should give you 2 - 5 more USB ports (depending on the selection you chose).

The other way is to buy a USB hub and expand it that way.

In a technical fact, all of us have 1, but USB hubs can expand # of ports, USB 1 dictates max is 128 active ports, I don''t think USB 2 upped that number. There already is a hidden hub to make you 2, just get an external hub that split up more as required.
