Bee hive is somewhere in desert. Bees take water from pond to hive. I cannot get to hive.

they're desperate for water, are they really hurting anything?
we've had such horrible weather this summer, all the creatures need water, as soon as the rains come again they will leave you alone

You must provide shaded water in another location if at all possible, until the bees are finished with the current hive. If you could get like a 24" drip tray , put a garden hose in it and put the water on a fine trickle, that would be fine. It's best to locate the tray between the Koi pond and the hive, to find the location of hive take a minute or two and watch which direction the majority of the bees are coming from and put the tray closer to the hive than the pond is.
