When I am looking for Laura Topp I get Laura Gasparris and Ezy Topp? for example.
I want to link my criteria so I don't have to wade through false responses.
Adding a + sign doesn't seem to help?

This is what you do.

When you are looking for an entire phrase, put it in quotes like
"Laura Topp"
"Arnold Schwarzenegger"
"Catcher in the Rye"
"Lord of the Rings"

If you simply want several words to appear but not in any particular order, then use the plus sign
Arnold+Governor
State+California
NASA+Explosion

And you can certainly combine the two together, for example if you are looking for two name on the same page
"Laura Topp"+"Arnold Schwarzenegger"
