They have to pander to the wants and needs of the masses, and as we all know, people are generally mindless drooling morons, who flip right past the discovery science channel in order to see the next performance of "So you think you can dance?" Don't blame the Television execs, blame the American Public.

First, I agree that the shows on your list are silly. (Uhhhm, with the possible exception of Jimmy Neutron. I get a kick out of that one and the mom is SO hot.)
But, to answer your question, they make them because people watch them. You can rant all you want, but as long a people watch, the shows stay on the air, and more, like them, are made.
I have an amazing device, at home, that completely solves the problem of innane, vacuum headed programs for me. I press a button and, voila*, another program appears! I don't even have to get up off of my chair to do it.
By the way. How many people think that there ought to be a category for peope who just want to express an opinion, or just to rant, instead of asking a question seeking real answers?
