It's itchy? I dunno sometimes I rub my nose if I'm feeling awkward or self-conscious. Maybe they're just uncomfortable and the conversation is awkward.

Yes that makes sense. Or they could be hinting that you have something on your nose. Then again, our noses do itch every once in a while. I just touched my nose two seconds ago. Seriously, I did.

A "theory" is that when you touch your nose you are lying, but this is not been proven. It could just as easily have been itchy.

What I have read is that when people are lying, they tend to touch or scratch their face, especially their nose.
