I'm a lesbian, I'm not proud nor ashamed, it's just part of what makes me who I am.
I'm much more Proud as a mother, committed partner and artist. Being a lesbian is simply a lable to make other people more comfortable when they try to box me in.
I usually don't fit into boxes well.
Oh, and to those who call gays/lesbians "troubled" or accuse us of "choosing" to be gay, I have to wonder why ANYONE would actually choose to be made fun of, hated, beaten and even murdered by ignorant jerks who refuse to accept that there are differences in ALL HUMAN BEINGS?
It simply makes to sence to me at all.
I certainly didn't choose to be who I am, it chose me.
I am who I am, I cannot be someone I'm not just to make others more comfortable. That's just dishonest and wrong.
