I think they should take it down and put it in closet as long as bush is the president. If not maybe they should put bush in the closet where he belongs.

Not all Republicans are ignorant.
Keep in mind there are revisionaries who see Bush is an idiot and see how bad he has made things in America. They won't abandon their party but most likely will be VERY careful who they vote for next.
I think the flag should be flown UPSIDE DOWN to symbolize the dire problems and dismay in the American government right now.
Basically I'm bothered by the fact that Bush has basically DESTROYED the US dollar against countries in the European Union and even F*CKIN CHINA.
The CHINESE YUAN used to be an 8th of the US dollar. That moron has basically allowed it to gain ground agains the US.
My chinese "friends" who are stuck in China slaving for the USA in jobs we outsourced to them (thanks alot Bush) think that sh!t is funny.
Have you taken a drive around parts of America off the beaten path? No matter what you hear in the news, AMERICA IS SUFFERING because of this administration. students can't afford college - Bush lied about giving money to Pell grants.
People can't afford their houses becuase of the inflation.
Its so sad - I see once proud, luxurious, exclusive white and Jewish neighborhoods GOING INTO FORECLOSURE. These were really nice places but due to this economy they are nearly unafordable by these people who kept them in mint condition for years.
White people are suffering. Black people are suffering, Hispanics have it the worst.
I mention White's because they represent a large portion of America who for the most part represented America's richest ethnicity - now all the money and power are being placed in the hands of fewer and fewer people. the vast majority of White and middle clss people of other races and ethnicities are getting screwed more and more every single day.

1. The term is half-staff not half-mast. A mast supports the sails on a sail powered boat.
2. The flag is flown at half-staff upon the death of certain officials BY ORDER OR THE PRESIDENT.
To whoever mentioned flying the flag upside down: Flying any national flag upside down is recognized as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.
