Does Any Company Use Real People to Answer Their Phone?

In my country, Mexico, a lot of companies still do so.
I work for a German company and most of its offices around the world have nice and friendly real people answering the phone and directing your call to the desired person.

back in the old days they did know its about machines and if you do find a person it would be an Indian from India because they pay them less and don't care about it. What ever saves money. If they find a better way to save money than an answering machine they will do it.

A lot of companies in New Zealand still do ... but I am yet to call any company in the US and be immediately greeted by a person.

mine does! all real people in my office. not even an operator for when youre on hold or waiting for the phone to be picked up haha

Only phone sex companies, but you would want to meet them.

yah my mom's talent agency she co-owns it there located in the u.k. and in the u.s. and real people answer the phones i helped once
