I agree. We all have off days! Federer is a tennis hybrid. He is incredible to watch and has brought the game to a whole new level.

Federer is great , one of the greatest to ever play the game. Murray has been playing really well as of late as has Federer. Every player takes a loss here and there . I am sure that Federer will not dwell on the loss that long.

Today he had an off day, but an off day against someone whose will to win was immense. Neither player served well, and if Murray had, the margin would have been huge.
Murray is great. He has a confident swagger - gallus as we say in Scotland. He doesn't hate England, but like the rest of us hates the arrogance portrayed by the English media (with no substance). Bring it on

I cannot believe that Murray beat Federer. Murray is a big head and a English hater. I hope he never wins Wimbledon. Federer is one of the best players ever.

In my mind, he's still #1 in the world! Without a doubt!
After winning the Toronto ATP Masters, where he had to win FOUR consecutive, 3-set matches en route to winning the final, that would take a HUGE toll on ANY top player. He could've easily skipped Cincy, but being the dedicated player that he is, he chose not to.
I doubt this defeat will have any effect on him, come the US Open.

I think that Murray won because he was a good match and was equal to Federer when he got into hitting ground strokes. Otherwise federer couldn't get into the grove of his strokes. Otherwise it was a good match.

Federer is the number one tennis player in the world due to his athletic ability and his tricky back hand moves.

How the hell can Murray be bad when he is 21 in world ??????????
And fair play to Andy for beating fed. Andy simply outplayed him not that you lot would admit that judging by the reactions here.
And i hope its the first of fed's losing streak about time he got knocked off his high perch.

When all is said and done, he will probably break Pete Sampras' record of 14 Grand Slam singles titles.
