The thing is, most people are smarter than you think, so they already know the truth (but you don't think they do), or they'll eventually find out. So being dishonest ultimately will cause people to not trust you, not respect you, not like you, not associate with you. An extreme example...I knew a guy who was a compulsive liar, couldn't tell the truth about anything. It ruined his life. He had horrible self-esteem and self-confidence problems, did bad things to his friends, became addicted to alcohol and drugs and many people disowned him, including me. Ultimately, he was gunned down in front of a convenience store. My theory, it was not by accident.
So yes, honesty pays. It pays big time.

I am not sure how much it pays other then self satisfaction. But I have a saying "The truth can sting a little but lies can hurt a lifetime"
So always try to be honest I can't say 100% because I am not perfect.

I'm not sure I understand your question ( or that you do either), but if you're asking if I believe that honesty pays, then yes, I think a policy of honesty pays and I see evidence of that on a daily basis.
