When i was still breeding guppies i had this transparent breeder box which had grille like holes on the inside bout 4 inches higher than the bottom allowing the mother to give birth whilst protecting the young from being munched up :) the beauty about this box is that the sides had grille like holes which allow the water to flow through thereby keeping the box nice 'n clean :)

It also comes with a divider should you decide to put a little bit of plant inside the cage as well along with gravel to give the baby guppies more sense of security .. it's also very easy to clean since you just rinse it 'n rub off whatever sticks to the plastic

I'm not a big fan of nets since there's always going to be stubborn algea that just won't come off and you can't really see the babies from the outside with those since it's basicly a mesh net

Good luck :)

A breeder box would be best. Guppies dont know their "kids" from others, so they eat ANY one they see. HOW TO CARE FOR FRY: Before your guppie gives birth, put her in the breeding box. (if you dont, as soon as they come out all adults will attack INCLUDING THE MOM!). The fry will swim into the safe part of the breeding box, seperated from the mom. Then put the fry in a tank with no adults. You can feed them crushed flake food, fry food, babby brine shrimp, and other live foods. Re-unite them with the adults when they cant fit in the largest guppies mouth. This is the easiest way to care for them if your a beginner, you'll find out more "tricks" sooner or later! GOOD LUCK!!!

If your guppies are live bearers and are know to attack their own babies then I would recommend a breeder box where the babies can swim free away from there mother after she gives birth to them just like they do with mollies because they tend to eat their own babies.

breeder box would be best because that way the babies can swim away.
