I'm looking for plastic containers to carry soup to work. The ideal container should be leak-proof, microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe. I heard Tupperware works well, but are there alternatives that are less expensive?

Glad, Tupperware, and I think the Ziplock ones. DO NOT get the dollar tree ones. They suck.

I use the Glad disposable ones. They are freezer, microwave, and dishwasher safe. Leaks? You have to make sure you close it, but it isn't hard, and there isn't a trick to it. If I forget to bring it home and it gets thrown out it is not that big of a deal. They come in a bunch of sizes, so you can find the right size for you.
