It seems to me that you are probably a Christian who believes that porn is sinful... or you are in a committed relationship, or waiting for a committed relationship, and hate the idea of looking at someone you do not love, and getting turned on.
In either case, trying NOT to think about porn would be just as hard as trying not to think of pink elephants. Try it--it's nearly impossible.
The trick is to replace those thoughts with something you should be thinking about, rather than trying not to think about what you shouldn't be thinking about. It's easier to keep your mind off something if you are, instead, keeping it ON something else.
If you're in love with someone, think about them instead of those anonymous people in the pictures. Get a picture of that person; set it up on your desk.
If, on the other hand, you are having trouble with this because of your religious convictions, you can re-focus towards those convictions. Keep a Bible near; pray; or, if you have the courage, admit your problem to a trusted person in spiritual authority, who can help you. Counseling can also be useful.
If you've been raised with the idea that sex is dirty or sinful, do challenge those ideas. It's a biological function--appropriate and healthy and good, in its place, just like eating: But there's a difference between eating to keep yourself alive and healthy, and eating to the point of being grossly overweight.
If you fall, by the way, remember that what you've done is in the past; you're sorry you did it, but you can't change it. You can, however, change the future; and that's what matters. Dwelling on the past will just cause unnecessary guilt.

How to avoid porn addiction on the Internet
1. Consider installing porn content filtering software( Strongly Recommend NetDog ,you can get it from www.netdogsoft.com ) on your computer. it will help to protect you from stumbling into pornography by accident, That's important.
2. Do not try to guess what the address of a Web page is. Many pornographic sites have similar addresses of respectable sites. For example www . whitehouse . com is a porn site. The real address is www. whitehouse . gov
3. Never click on Web site addresses that you receive in an unsolicited email.
4. Do not open attachments that come in email that are unsolicited.
5. Use filtered search engines or reputable directories to find the information you need.
6. Do not search for terms like girls. Think before you enter a search term.
Stick with reputable sites.
If something looks questionable, don't let curiosity get the best of you. Delete it or close the window.

Wow , you sound like my bf (just kidding, sweetie) but really... If you feel like your watching it too much than there is a problem. I hope you are using your own pc to watch this porn and not a company computer. But yet and still, what do you feel is making you watch porn? Not to be rude or too personal, but are you having sex regularly? That might be why? Are you feeling sexually satisfied after watching? That might explain something, if you are not then there might be a problem? Is it becoming an obsession? If you want to avoid it put a safe search on your computer and block the sites. Then when you see the block come up you will be reminded, "I shouldn't be doing this"

never say never. Anything is possible if you believe it can be done. Also, if you're viewing porn at work. you'd better be careful for someone may be monitoring you. You're at work to peform your job duties. I really don't think that's a part of your job description not unless you work for a company that promotes and sales porn. Find yourself a partner that you can trust in areas that matter the most to you and take it from there.
Good luck!

It is probably on of the toughest habits to quit. You need to talk about it with someone, like a therapist or a pastor.
Just try your hardest not to watch it - pick up a hobby and when you get home - make sure there is no tv or Computer in your room. Then lay down and go to sleep
Good luck

You are describing a sexual addict.
Sometimes (rarely) addicts can help themselves, but usually
they need intervention - usually a doctor is involved. Sometimes
its done through people's spritual advisors.
Once a week is probably not a problem - thinking about it all
the time and perhaps accessing it from work is a problem. If
you do these things, then yes, you should talk to a doctor.

Your not addicted if you only watch once a week. I watch some everyday...you know...to relieve stress. So calm down and ignore all these bible thumpers. At least your not raping people. Your taking care of your business yourself in a healthy way. Just don't do it at work...you could get fired. Maybe if you increase it to everyday, you will not think about it at work.

are you joking, the fact that you will get fired should be enough to stop you at work, what you do on your own time is up to you, but if you don't like porn, and still watch it then really you are lying to yourself, there is nothing wrong with porn in the right setting.
