No problems with a mere slip of a girl buddying up with their trusty companion, dog that is!
Never got around to asking yet!

Well Zulu9, I have a very big long haired German Shepherd. I consider myself and the dog to be highly dangerous and you should only approach with extreme caution. I am very much top dog and my GSD is a very faithful deputy.
The real question is how you think you might scrabble up the pecking order to be top dog.
Also, you mention meeitng this girl... has she actually agreed to do that yet? If not, then I think you are being very presumptious and may make her play even harder to get.
But to answer your question, there is nothing wrong with mere slips of girls buddying up with a loyal protector such as German Shepherd to keep her feet warm on the sofa.

No worries! But then I'm a dog person.... though just how "constant" a companion is the dog in question? If we really are talking "constant" the dog isn't the problem. I know some people are apprehensive about this particular breed, and some dogs (doesn't matter what breed) can get really possessive about their other pack members when a new man/woman comes along. As responsible dog owners say, "There are no bad dogs, only bad owners".

Ive got a westie, he goes everywhere with me. Hes a little toughy and thinks he can take on any big dog...in truth hes a softy who wimps out if a big dog even sniffs him.... but it is the thought that counts ...isnt it?? lol

That would be hot! I love German Shepards and look forward to having more someday. She obviously appreciates the strong, good looking, protective type.

My redhead's got an Aussie Shepherd. He's my best bud now. Really impressed her...especially when as I was leaving, he jumped in my car with his tennis ball, ready to go home with me. Chicks dig that stuff.

I'm not sure that's legal to be honest. Best check she hasn't got an expensive video camera tucked away in her bag. Whatever though, you'd better be careful not to annoy that dog, they have mighty strong jaws.

I think that's cool. Being a dog lover is a positive thing. It might just be a great thing. I think you need to get to know her to find out!
