Usually no. Being 'destroyed' over it is a little dramatic don't ya think? People get over things and move on and if they can't its an indication of some mental issues going on. In this case it doesn't sound like the girl is as interested in this as you are and if thats the case you are fighting a losing battle. Life isn't a fairy tale, quit looking at it like it is. Of course if you had ever been in more than one relationship you would have learned that and everyone should. Your sisters ended their relationships because they weren't happy with them, I'm sure the guys got over it and found other girls, it doesn't really matter how good you thought the relationship was, it wasn't your relationship so its not your call to make. Also you seem to think the relationship you have is a good one and the girl doesn't seem to think so, perhaps your perception and definition of what makes a good relationship needs some rethinking. And LMAO at the maturity lecture from the 17 year old!!!

Well, my boyfriend and I plan on getting married and we've been together almost 5 years. And I'm only seventeen! First of all, relationships take maturity, and sometimes accepting that fantasies won't always be met. Especially since the other person might have completely different fantasies. Now I'm not telling you to settle for something less than someone who is perfect for you, but there is a huge balance between true love and the fantasies we create in our minds. Real love accepts the reality that sometimes things won't be perfect or even as you imagine. Good luck in your relationship.

of course they can. My parents are a successful story, and they've been together 25 years now.
However, staying with someone just because you don't wanna be like other people is not a good reason. Staying in a relationship that is not working is more damaging than breaking up with them. Breaking up is hard, but it's not impossible. You can get over it and move on. Sometimes it's a good thing. Don't judge people for breaking up.
Also, a long-distance relationship is always going to be tough, especially when you didn't know them very well to begin with. Good luck with that.

I'm sure, since there are with so many people on the planet. I would say take one day at a time though . It is sometimes hard to do with relationships and you may want 2 jump ahead and see the possibilities the future may hold. However u'll loose out on the little things in front of u that make u love someone so much 2 begin with and u'll also stress yourself and strain your relationship possibly. Good Luck! :)

??? Why do you feel such a committment to someone you barely know? This makes no sense what so ever. Sorry, but you are headed for a life of boredom if you find her less than "sparkling romantic." What in the world are you doing?
