I need phosphate for a science experiment i have to do in the fall, but don't know where to get it.......if i can't find it i'll have to change my experiment which would b a pain in the ***, so any help is great.

)Buy TSP(Trisodium phosphate) at your local hardware store. It's used like a detergent to cut grease.

Phosphate is an ion, it doesn't exist natually on its own, it usally exists as part of a compound like calcium phosphate, for example. So it depends on what kind you need. Maybe you mean phosphorus?

You can ge reagent grade phosphates from the Aldrich catalog or their website and they can ship to your school.
