MY ROOTS ARE LIKE 2-3 INCHES ALREAY I AM 24 WEEKS PREG. IS THERE A TIME WHEN EVERYTHING IS FORMED AND BABY IS JUST GROWING????

I just read an article today an it said is OK to dye your hair while pregnant. But if you are still worry or hesitant you can opt for vegetable dye.

It's not healthy to dye your hair when you're pregnant. Not only will the color stand a chance of not coming out like it should, but there is also the matter of the smell, and the bleach that enters your system.
Think about it, the dye comes in contact with your scalp and is thusly absorbed into your skin. Beneath the skin are the blood vessels and what have you. All the blood in your body circulates and it does all go to the baby.
Best to wait until after you have the baby.

After the 12th week the baby is done forming and is just growing. Be careful though your hair may either take the dye really well or not at all!!! My sister does hair for a living and she said that it would be alright. But if you are still unsure ask your dr!!!

You can ask your doc what they say but when I was pg twice, both docs said to do it anytime. I dyed my hair throught both pregnancies with no problems. However thereis the possiblity of the color not turning out right from the hormones. If yuo wanna chance the color thing I would say go for it or at least you could jsut touch up the roots.

My doc told me dying your hair is safe throughout pregnancy. He said he would only be concerned if a pregnant woman worked as a stylist and was exposed to the fumes all the time. So go fix your roots....if you find the fumes to be really strong, wear a mask just to be safe.

My doc said that to put color on is fine--no bleaching--and I couldn't use a "permanent " hair dye so check the level of the color. Also he did caution me that the results may not be the same as before I got pregnant--mine were.Congrats on baby!

After the first trimester my doctor told me it was safe to dye my hair. Just don't dye it to often and there shouldn't be any problems.

From my own experience you're hair color won't take while you're pregnant. I was about 2 or 3 months pregnant and tried to color my hair and it look the same way it did before i tried to color it.

hey... am a hairdresser and nothing in my college says anything about not be in able to dye your hair.... threes been rumours about bleach but i bleach my hair and am pregnant, i think its just rumours more then anything or i would heard about it xxxix SO get ya roots Dunn xxxxx

I don't think so, I have always heard that your hormones will make the color come out wrong. Ask your Dr. just to be safe.
