I have pcos and I have NEVER had a period that long. If anything my periods are short. If you are in pain I would go to the ER but if your not in pain I would just go to my regular doctor. If it has been going on for a month I think it can probably wait one more night. Not to mention it will be alot cheaper to go to the dr tomorrow.

I think that a trip to the er may be a little much, unless you are losing allot of blood, over this whole time, or you start feeling faint or lightheaded. I would put a call into your Dr. ASAP, that way Dr will be able to either see you or tell you to go to hospital. Are you taking iron supplements since you have already had lengthy periods in the past? This is something that you may consider, because you don't want to become anemic. The iron supplement slow-fe, sold in most pharmacies, is easier on your digestive system.

I would go tonight. A woman can become enemic, and worse, need a blood transfusion if things get too out of hand. Besides, at the emergency room, you may discover some better treatment than your doctor personally knows about.

Common sense says that if you are bleeding for a month then you should go to your doc or even the ER & not ask on Y!A. If nothing else call your doc so that he can tell you what you should do, but I'd be heading ot the ER>

Call your doctor immediately and try to get in now! Tell the nurse what is going on! You may need a hysterectomy! I did.

I will call my OB GYN and ask for advice. He/she might guide you and let you know what to do.
