Like the lactobacilli and others that are supposed to add healthy bactertia to your stomach and intestines. Can you take too many? I have been taking 4/day for the last 2 weeks of lactobacilli (stored in my fridge) to help counter the effects of antibiotics and last night got horribly sick and today just feel rotten. Could it be I have too many bacteria??? I should know this as a biology student, but I don't know if its possible!

Just because something says "natural" doesn't mean there is no hazards to it. Take 'heroin' or "cocaine" for instance, seriously they are "natural" and they are far from being healthy!
SO be VERY careful! Even taking too many vitamins can do you harm.

They shouldn't hurt you anymore than eating a bunch of yogurt. I use acidophilus daily and give it to my husband and son. When I am on antibiotics I usually take 3caps 3 times a day to prevent yeast infections caused by antibiotics. The antibiotics could be making you feel ill.

You can overdo just about anything if you work at it and don't use common sense
