IF YOU SAY THAT GERMS DESERVED TO WIN WITH PENALTIES, YOU CAN SHUT UP WHEN YOU SAY ITALY HAD LUCK WITH PENALTIES AGAINST FRANCE....

I do! Germany had luck with the penalties, with the ref, with the home crowd, with Pekerman's lousy substitutions, and with Abbondanzieri's injury, and they still couldn't beat us until the shootout. That says something, doesn't it?

P.S.: Bring on 2010!

Argentina most of the game they had the control of the ball, but they doesn't concrete their opportunities they weren't enough good to maintein the result that in that moment was Arg 1 - 0 Ger. The German players didn't play good but not bad and they try to put the things equal and they do it. In the penalties Ger was much better than Argentina and their that result. Who concrete their opportunities is the best not who play better. Argentina deserves to win but they found a strong Ger that didn't give any opportunity to win.

In my opinion, the Argentina team was far superior in ability but the Germany team deserved to win--they tried harder.

I watched the game and though the Argentines controlled most of the first half, after their goal from Ayala, they just seemed to want to close shop and get the game over and done with.

I think I wouldn't have liked it if Argentina had won for those reasons.

they ****** it up, of course they didn't deserve to win. if you play better the whole game excep the last 10 minutes (which are the most crucial) of course you don't desrve to win. they didn't get tthe job done, they couldn't finish it off, so no argentina should not have won, the team that deserved to win won.

and penalties are mostly luck for everyone, it just happened to be germany's day

I do as Argentina dominated the game more than Germany. They dominated the ball and the game and the field as well by 67% compared to Germany who conquered them by37%.That's a big difference.

I AM SICK OF YOUR QUESTIONS INTENDED ONLY TO PROVOKE ME. I KNOW THE GAME YOU ARE TRYING TO PLAY. MIROSLAV KLOSE'S GOAL IN THE 80TH MINUTE WAS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT, AND JENS LEHMANN'S PERFORMANCE IN THE PENALTY SHOOTOUT WAS NOTHING SHORT OF SUPERB. HE IS A WORLD CLASS GOALKEEPER. THAT'S WHAT HE WOULD HAVE DONE TO ITALY HAD IT GONE TO A PENALTY SHOOTOUT, GERMANY COMPLETELY DESERVED TO WIN. DEUTSCHLAND FOREVER!!!!!

GERMANY DESERVED TO WIN BECAUSE WE HAVE AN EXCELLENT GOALKEEPER WHO SAVED TWO PENALTIES IN THAT SHOOTOUT. BUFFON COULD NOT SAVE ANY AGAINST FRANCE. WHY DON'T YOU GO WATCH THE TAPE AGAIN AND TELL ME HOW MANY TIMES HE CAME CLOSE TO SAVING A PENALTY, OH THAT'S RIGHT NEVER!!! HE JUST GOT LUCKY THAT DAVID TREZEGUET, WHO IS ONE OF THE BEST STRIKERS IN THE WORLD, HAD BAD LUCK AND MISSED BY A FEW CENTIMETERS SO IT WAS LUCK FOR ITALY!!!!!

DIKK I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU THINK THIS IS FUN...OH WAIT, IT'S BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO LIFE, AND I ALMOST FORGOT, YOU WANT TO BE LIKE YOUR IDOL MATERAZZI AND PROVOKE PEOPLE BECAUSE YOU JUST LOVE BEING A DUMBASS.

YOU BREAK ALL YOUR DAMN KEYS FROM YOUR KEYBOARD SO YOU CAN FINALLY STOP PROVOKING PEOPLE BY ASKING QUESTIONS LIKE THIS!

QUIT PLAYING THE VICTIM ALREADY!

I personlly think Argentina is the best team in the whole tournament. But history is history, just move on. Stop talking about it. 32 team just 1 winner. try it again 4 years later.

Um, Dikk, you pissed someone here...
To tell you the truth, I'm a fanatic fan of Germany...
But I'm not mad at your question or anything. :)
I think all teams deserved to win, bcoz they gave the best they can. And I think that's what I like about world cup, bcoz it's all about hardwork.
well, maybe you're a little right, if Klose didn't injure the Argentinian goalie, things maybe different.
Still, I love Klose so please don't say anthing bad about him, kay?
I'm really sad every time someone post a question that insults a player...
