Simple really. Society dictates alot of what people do and what we like and so on. I blame society for a lot of the problems we have today.

That's life, sweetie. We may all have tons in common, but each of us is also totally different. There's no way we can all get along with all those differences. Differences always bring up controversy no matter what. As humans were very concerned with right and wrong, but it's really hard to define right and wrong. Everyone has different morals. What may be okay to you might be totally unacceptable to me.
The sad thing is, we are perfectly capable of getting along. We have the energy, but getting along just isn't something all of us choose to use it on. Our minds are so powerful. We can convince ourselves that ridiculous things are true, and yet we don't try to convince ourselves that everyone deserves respect. SAd, huh?
for all you religious people out there...in the story or Cain and Abel: Am I my brother's keeper?
We need each other and we shuld try our best to get along so things don't fall apart.

people can't get along because it is part of human nature to try and suppress other people in order to make themselves feel good. all people have the natural instinct to be judgmental about others and this tends to get in the way of making friends. that and pride but that's a different story.

There's just too many of us, that's my theory. Most other species of animals pretty much stay to themselves and their packs, groups, flocks, whatever. I suppose you'll get an occasional fight where one individual is either trying to become the alpha, or trying to expand territory into the territory of another group, but for the most part they get along. But take an area the same geographical size of New York City (469 square miles), for example, and put 8.1 million(!) tigers in there and see if they fight much....

Not sure of what you are asking, but if it is a Straight/Gay thing, most of us get along just fine. There are some out there who are terrified of gays, make up all kinds of excuses, almost always fall back on the Bible, and often resort to "nature." The fact that about 10% of mammals in nature are homosexual is a thorn in their sides. Good luck

Good question! Not an easy answer. For thousands of years, human beings have been led to believe in so many different lifestyles. Have you ever heard the ol' saying? "...my way or the highway..."? Well, it seems to me that it all comes down to "choices". It is a God-given right for freedom of choice. Yes, it would be most fantastic if we all could be friends, but our emotions guide us in so many different ways. Only one more thing I would like to add: Let your Heart guide you, not your emotions.

People can't get along because its their personalty or they just don't like that person. Some people can't stand the other person so they dont get along. That's the best answer i can give u.

I don't know but, you reminded me of a saying I heard recently..."If we're all going to live in heaven together, shouldn't we try to start getting along now?" That covers just about everybody.

Lots of us can without any problem. We like nice people and look for the similarities in others not the differences.
