When people and nations(the West) live in darkness, they lose sense of direction. In an information age, knowledge–driven global culture of reason, ignorance is no longer a requisite to learn from the living history. The previous Empires knew their geography and limits, but the newly barbaric articulated American Empire in its infancy, is challenging to the limits of the Laws of God and appears obsessed with “fear” of being replaced by the new emerging nations of Asia and South America. Filthy phallic worshiper Bush invoked the “War on Islam”, as a dictum of power, not reason and wisdom, to camouflage the prospective future with acts of barbarity and to dispel the notion of accountability in global affairs. Historically, people and nations pursuing this path of behavior have ended up in self-defeat and self-destruction.

The 9/11 attacks and religious doctrines have no common ground. Hourly paid intellectuals turned guardian of approved truth, allege that Islam breeds terrorism. The Western mass media complements the scientifically discovered notion to poison the public perceptions and source of judgments against the Arabs and Muslims. The Neo-Conservatives helped to rob the humanity of its human heritage. The perception of ‘radical Islam’ was invented and enhanced by the ‘fear’ of terrorism and as a precursor to attack Muslims.

Are we going to have an independent inquiry this time, or are we suppose to swallow yet another whitewash?

I think the fact that a 12 year old boy could actually get through all the checks and end up sitting on a plane with no ticket, no boarding pass and no passport makes the whole security system look a bit shabby. He was only discovered when they did a head count on the plane and found they had one extra passenger.

Then there was the one about the lady who created an uproar on the flight and had to be restrained, jet fighters were sent in to escort the plane as it was diverted to Boston's Logon airport, FBI, full security checks were carried out and all passengers detained for over 4 hours. Turns out it wasn't a terrorist threat but it was discovered that she was carrying some banned substances. Hand cream and matches. And which airport did this plane leave from...............Heathrow.

Oh nearly forget this one....An air passenger sparked a security scare at Gatwick airport after boarding a plane to look for a lost wallet, as the aircraft was being cleaned. A police spokesman said he attempted to retrace his steps after leaving the flight but "got confused" and boarded the Thomas Cook aircraft by mistake. He was carrying a briefcase.
"We don't believe that was a serious breach of security," David Stretch from BAA told the BBC.

I say forget the new security checks and go back to the old ones as this wouldn't have happened last week...................or would it?

Things wont be the same again after all if they can take the parts they need on board a plane and then make them explode what next ? It puts everyone on the plane on edge and the poor people at the airports have an even harder job. What is the world coming to ? and why to people want to do these sort of things ?

I don't think that we can be too safe under the current circumstance. Better to be too cautious than not enough.

I worked in US airports before and after 9/11 and security was a complete joke before and it took 12 months for them to catch up to the UK standards.

The United States and the UK have created this generated hightened security. Terrorists today have only struck as of late, due to the Hezbollah, the US AND UK trying to control the world.

In short, we look around, if you see terrorists are trying to make a statement, when 911 hit, they were not after the COMMON man, but the wealth of this ANGLO-DUAL-AMERICAN world power.

I think that the crisis that we are in now; is because of years of inference, cruel misrepresentation of what we portray as freedom. Terrorists are in short, tired of being looked as the enemy, when in essence the governments that citizens claim to lead are the bigger enemies. Look around; our governments have enslaved us into third-world "prisons."

Its sad, that we have to believe this falsefied patriotic lore. Fair of what is happening, is what is coming around. I feel for the citizens that really are not part of these agendas and that we are the ones that have to pay the price for what, our supposed leaders are considering what is right.

In the future, we have to have hope.
We have to move forward,
We have to push to change.
We have to stay strong and press on to a new world.

It sucks. I travel almost every week for my job and it really makes getting around difficult. I now have to plan on showing up even earlier than I did before just cause some jackass wants to make a point by killing innocent people.

To all the terrorists: go light yourself on fire in the middle of the desert and make your mark there (pun intended).

I think that it may turn out to be a farce. Nobody has been charged in the UK although the Police insist that they have over 24 Terrorists. Seems like they've done this before.

Another reason for the powers that be to rescind the freedoms our forefathers fought so hard to get us. George Orwell was right, Big Brother IS watching you!!!!!!!!

I think it is needed and RACIAL PROFILING should also be introduced. I am hispanic and would understand if I got pulled aside to be asked questions. As long as I know that the plane would be safe of Terrorists....and snakes!!! :)
