Physics to the moonwalk is the same as to any dance step - you transfer weight from one foot to the other to create certain visual effects. Visual effect of the moonwalk is to create an illusion of walking forward while actually moving backwards (or the other way around). Your foot is very flexible, actally. This is what allows you to do the moonwalk - using your foot differently than for regular walking.

Allie, what's Dancing The Dream? i haven't heard of that one. i'm analyzing Moonwalk top now crap i did no longer comprehend he wrote something different than Moonwalk! the place have I been? haha

its all an illusian.. this is the basics...your going to put weight on your foot back and glide back with your other foot.. make sure your on the ball of your foot.. honestly when your first starting off just fake it and you dont even have to put your foot all the way down... then you transfer weight to the other foot and repeat.. when first doing this its not gonna look right just practice transfering weight from one foot to the next.. and work on gliding.. after that.. your going to want to make it look as smooth as possible.. good luck
