To Fix the transimssion on my car it would cost me 3 thousand 5 hundred dollars.. which its not worth fixing...I used to drive a 94 STS Cadiliac... Everything on that car, costed an arm and a leg to fix...However, I was just in a mood..and I was sick of being stuck in the house all day...with no where to go...

Seems like more of a rant than an actual question...but I'll go with yes on this one...or no...it could go either way since I don't really care.

So have your car towed to a reputable transmission shop and get a rental car while it's under repair. THESE THINGS HAPPEN. Regularly. If you can't afford the repair and transport in the interim, then why do you have a car at all? Swallow the $50 per day if you need a car so badly you're willing to break the law by driving something you're not insured for.

Otherwise, wait like the rest of us do--or call up the insurance company and fork over the extra cash it will take to get you insured on that van's policy. Don't break the law.

I shudder to think I might be driving on the same streets as you--and that if you hit me, my insurance will be forced to cover the accident no matter what. You can guarantee there'd be a lawsuit following any accident you were involved in--because you'd deserve it for your apathy. Spoiled brat...

Walk, take a bus, bicycle, or flap your wings, but don't get in a vehicle that you are not covered for insurance.

The girl above is right. If you get into an accident, your insurance company has no obligation to pay and you will get stuck with thousands of dollars in damages. Also if you get pulled over by a cop and you are not covered, you will pay a big fine and have your license suspended or revoked. Don't chance it for whatever reason. Just wait until an adult gets home. Most likely you do not have a real emergency.

Most likely your car's transmission just needs some transmission fluid. 9 out of 10 times this will correct transmission problems.

I guess you have to work on getting your cars transmission fixed. That would be your best solution, your parents do not have to and are not obligated to allow you to drive their vehicles. You are lucky you have a vehicle to use at all, many people in the world are not so blessed. If you get caught using a vehicle without permission, or if you even get into a very minor accident, this will cause your parents insurance payments to go up. Would you want to be paying for their insurance increase also? You need to be a bit more grateful and learn to sound a little bit less of a spoiled brat. Good luck.

That's a shame. I don't think you're being told the truth though. Unless you're excluded from the policy by name, anyone who drives the vehicle with permission is covered under the insurance (at least most of the time with pretty much all insurance policies). You don't have to be a listed driver on the policy. However, if you take the vehicle without permission and have an accident, it's possible the insurance company won't cover it. And you don't want to be held responsible for any damages, do you? So stay home but encourage whoever is telling you that to check with the insurance company and determine if in fact you'd be covered if you drove once or twice with permission.

OK if you have a problem with not being able to drive the car. Then I suggest you either get your transmission fixed or get insurance that will cover you no matter what car you drive.

And you don't think we are raising a generation of self centered cry babies in this country?
Unbelievable. Take some responsibility for fixing your own mess instead of blaming everyone else. Get your car fixed, or is that too much to ask of a whiner?

If you're not on the insurance, I wouldn't do that. If you got into an accident, even if it was somebody else's fault, the insurance company wouldn't pay. And that could leave your family with a big debt to pay.
